Gemini Gets Four New Google Docs Editing Powers

Google is rolling out four Gemini-powered comment features in Google Docs. Users can now ask Gemini to summarize threads, flag unresolved issues, draft comments on their behalf, and generate contextually grounded replies. It can also suggest document edits based on reviewer feedback, with changes applicable in one click. The features are on by default for eligible Workspace subscribers and will reach all users within 15 days. Google also separately launched Gemini-powered image and diagram generation inside Docs, signaling a broader push to make Docs a self-contained workspace rather than a simple text editor.
