Gemini Gets Adjustable Thinking Levels for Users

Google is testing a new Thinking Level feature inside the Gemini app, letting users control how deeply the AI reasons before responding. The option currently appears for Fast and Gemini 3.1 Pro models, mirroring Low, Medium, and High reasoning controls already available in Google AI Studio. Google is also reportedly expanding Gemini's third-party app integrations, with Canva, Instacart, and OpenTable potentially joining existing partners like Spotify and WhatsApp. The announcements are expected to coincide with Google I/O 2026, where Google typically showcases Gemini's expanding role as a broader digital assistant.
