Former Plaud Exec Raises $26M for Always-On AI

Peter Mo, a former Plaud executive, has raised $26 million for Ambi, an AI app that listens to users throughout the day to provide real-time suggestions and insights. Backed by Luminous Ventures and Huaqin, Ambi is launching on iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch, with a hardware device also planned. The app goes beyond meeting note-taking by offering proactive suggestions during meetings using calendar, knowledge base, and web data. Ambient capture is off by default and users can disable it anytime, but Mo acknowledged the industry has not solved the disclosure problem for third parties.
