Firecrawl Raises $75M for AI Web Scraping
AI web scraping startup Firecrawl has closed a $75 million Series B round led by Smash Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator, Altos Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, Freestyle and Offline Ventures. The company builds tools that help AI agents collect and process web data more efficiently, handling challenges like multi-phase page loading, dynamic content and file extraction.
Alongside the funding, Firecrawl launched Alexandria, a cloud service combining web data with third-party sources and curated datasets, including tens of millions of scientific abstracts and code files. The company plans to use the capital to expand Alexandria's data partnerships and will soon introduce a self-service content licensing system.
