Ema Raises $77M to Scale AI Enterprise Employees
AI startup Ema Unlimited has raised $77 million in a Series B round led by Creagis, with returning investors Accel, S32 and Posus. The funding will accelerate development of autonomous AI employees designed to handle HR, IT and finance operations across large enterprises. Unlike traditional AI chatbots, Ema's agents execute complex tasks within existing enterprise systems, self-check their work and escalate sensitive decisions to humans. Customers include Wipro, where AI employees handle 2.9 million queries annually, and Hitachi, which saw a 30% drop in support tickets. Revenue has grown 50 times over two years.
