Dell, Intel Address Enterprise AI Cloud Cost Crisis
Enterprise AI deployments are hitting budget walls as agentic workloads exhaust cloud token allocations in weeks rather than months. Dell's Helen O'Sullivan reports Bay Area customers are burning through token budgets far ahead of schedule. In response, companies are reconsidering on-premises infrastructure and open-weight models alongside frontier cloud models. Intel's Tim Wood notes many enterprises already have CPU headroom capable of handling next-generation workloads. Both Dell and Intel are taking a consultative approach, evaluating existing infrastructure against capital and operating expense models before recommending deployment strategies.
