DeepSeek Launches Claude Code Rival, Raises API Prices

DeepSeek has released DeepSeek-V4-Pro, an updated flagship model focused on agentic workloads, alongside DeepSeek Harness v0.1, an open-source alternative to Anthropic's Claude Code. V4-Pro is available on DeepSeek's web, mobile, and API platforms, with OpenAI Responses API support and Codex integration. DeepSeek Harness, released under the MIT license on GitHub, features a modular design allowing developers to swap out nearly every component of the agent runtime as a plugin. However, API access to V4-Pro will come at higher prices than previous versions.
