Databricks unveiled major new releases at its Data + AI Summit, centered on enabling AI agents across enterprise operations. Key launches include a new Lake Transactional/Analytical Processing architecture, the Reyden compute engine for millisecond query latency, and Genie One, an AI platform grounded in live business data. CEO Ali Ghodsi declared AGI has already arrived, arguing the real challenge is deploying it effectively inside organizations.
