Darwinium adds two tools to catch AI agent fraud
Fraud prevention startup Darwinium launched two new capabilities on October 8, 2026. Journey Transition Probability flags unusual changes in the steps a person, bot or AI agent takes toward a login, account change or payment. MCP Protection monitors the tool calls agents make over the Model Context Protocol, linking each call to the journey that preceded it. The release addresses growing agentic fraud: only about one in four agentic transactions on Darwinium's network self-declares, and purchases involving agents are rejected nine times as often as others. A company survey of 500 fraud and security leaders found 97% reported an increase in AI-driven attacks.
