Cursor 3 Launches With Multi-Agent AI Coding

Anysphere's Cursor has released Cursor 3, a major update to its AI coding platform featuring a new chatbot interface that lets developers describe features in natural language and select their preferred LLM. The update introduces parallel cloud-based agents, local desktop agents, and a new sidebar for centralized management. New additions include Design Mode for UI editing, a step-by-step task overview with error highlighting, and a shortcut to query multiple LLMs simultaneously. The company also highlights its in-house Composer 2 model as cost-efficient for agent-based tasks. Cursor has raised over $3 billion from backers including Nvidia and Google.
