CScale launches with $188M for AI interconnects

CScale Inc., an optical interconnect startup founded in 2023, launched with $188 million in funding, roughly three-quarters of which came from a Series C round co-led by Atreides Management, Valor Equity Partners and Premji Invest, with Nvidia and Intel Capital among additional backers. The company's technology links thousands of AI accelerators across dozens of racks using optical connections faster than copper wiring. CScale also claims its interconnects can contain optical link failures to reduce cluster downtime. Funds will support technology development and commercialization.
