Cowboy Space Raises $275M for Orbital AI Data Centers
Cowboy Space Corp. has secured $275 million in Series B funding at a $2 billion valuation, led by Index Ventures with participation from NEA, IVP, and others. The raise brings total outside funding to $355 million. The startup was co-founded by Robinhood's Baiju Bhatt. Formerly known as Aetherflux, the company pivoted from beaming solar power to Earth toward powering orbital AI data centers. Each module will deliver 1 megawatt of computing power via roughly 800 GPUs, based on Nvidia's Space-1 Vera Rubin platform. Cowboy Space plans its first satellite launch next year and faces competition from SpaceX.
