Corti's Medical AI Beats OpenAI on Speech Accuracy

Copenhagen-based healthcare AI company Corti has launched Symphony for Speech-to-Text, a clinical-grade speech recognition model designed for real-time dictation, conversational transcription, and batch audio processing. The company claims it achieves the highest accuracy rate recorded for medical speech recognition. Corti's research shows its models reduced word error rates by up to 93% compared to leading general-purpose AI models, including OpenAI's. CEO Andreas Cleve emphasized the need for AI that physicians, practitioners, and patients can trust, underscoring the growing advantage of domain-specific AI over broad foundation models in regulated industries.
