Cohere Acquires Ottogrid for AI Market Research Integration - AI startup Cohere has acquired Ottogrid, a Vancouver-based platform specializing in automated market research tools. Ottogrid will cease its standalone product, with its features and team integrating into Coheres platform. This integration particularly enhances North, a ChatGPT-style application for knowledge workers.
The acquisition aligns with Coheres strategic shift towards private AI deployments, following a significant revenue shortfall in 2024. Ottogrid, initially founded as Cognosys in 2023, raised $2 million and offered AI-powered document analysis before joining Cohere.
