Claude Sonnet 5.5 Now Available on AWS

Anthropic has launched Claude Sonnet 5.5 on Amazon Bedrock and Claude Platform on AWS. The model is designed for focused coding and knowledge work, offering lower cost per task and faster speed compared to Opus 5.5. It handles well-scoped tasks such as SQL generation, UI testing, document editing, and IDE coding agents. Paired with Opus 5.5, which handles complex judgment-heavy work, the two models cover a broad range of enterprise workloads. Sonnet 5.5 is accessible via the Amazon Bedrock console, Anthropic SDK, AWS CLI, and Boto3.
