Claude Haiku 5.5 Now Available on AWS

Anthropic's Claude Haiku 5.5 is now available on Amazon Bedrock and Claude Platform on AWS. Described as the fastest and most efficient model in the Claude 5.5 family, it costs around 75 percent less than Claude Haiku 4.5 for most tasks. It supports coding, tool use, computer use, agentic tasks, and traditional NLP work, and is the first Haiku model with effort controls. It pairs with Claude Opus 5.5, with Opus handling complex reasoning and Haiku 5.5 executing high-volume subagent tasks quickly and at lower cost.
