Claude for Government Now Available to Federal Agencies

Anthropic has made Claude for Government generally available to federal and state agencies after a public beta since July. The platform operates within a FedRAMP High authorized environment and offers coding, agentic work, file handling, memo creation, RFP reviews, and casework capabilities. Agencies pay usage-based fees with no seat costs and a hard spending cap. Administrators can manage departments, set model limits, and access audit logs to support the ATO process. Claude Code CLI and Claude for Microsoft 365 are rolling out in early access through the same environment.
