ChatGPT Work automates tasks while you're away

OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Work, an AI agent designed to automate workplace tasks by integrating with Gmail, Slack, Teams, Google Drive and calendars. It can generate reports, build presentations, create apps and schedule recurring tasks, while a Computer Use feature operates your computer independently in the background. Powered by GPT-5.6, the tool merges OpenAI's Codex coding technology with consumer ChatGPT to meet growing demand. Around 40 percent of Australian ChatGPT prompts are work-related. The launch comes as rivals Anthropic and Google also release competing workplace AI agents.
