ChatGPT Health Launches Amid Medical Advice Lawsuit
OpenAI is rolling out ChatGPT Health to all U.S. users over 18 across free and paid plans, one day after a Florida pastor sued the company for allegedly advising him not to see a doctor. The feature lets users integrate health data from Apple Health, MyFitnessPal, Epic, and other platforms, with weekly health queries rising from 230 million to 300 million.
Despite performance improvements, OpenAI maintains its service is not intended for diagnosing or treating health conditions, and urges users to consult professionals. The rollout is available on web and iOS this week.
