Block's Buzz Merges AI Agents With Team Workspaces
Block Inc. has launched Buzz, a free open-source workspace where AI agents join teams as full members with their own accounts, permissions, and cryptographic identities — not as chatbots. Built on the decentralized Nostr protocol, Buzz combines team chat, code hosting, and automated workflows, targeting companies currently splitting work across Slack and GitHub. The platform supports agents from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Block's own goose framework via an open standard. Git hosting is built in, with feature branches doubling as channels. Buzz launched at version 0.4.22 with desktop apps available, though mobile clients and workflow approval features remain unfinished. It is available at buzz.xyz under an Apache 2.0 license.
