Basecamp Research Raises $140M for AI Drug Discovery
Basecamp Research has secured $140 million in Series C funding led by S32, a fund tied to Google co-founder Bill Maris. Investors include NATO, Nvidia, and the Anthropic-Menlo Ventures joint fund Anthology Fund.
The company's flagship AI model, EDEN, has 28 billion parameters and was trained on a dataset of over 100 billion genes. Basecamp is focused on developing in-vivo cell therapies using large serine recombinases derived from bacteriophages. The new capital will accelerate drug development and expand pharmaceutical partnerships.
