AWS Tool Automates Incident Remediation With Human Approval

AWS DevOps Agent investigates incidents using correlated metrics, logs, and topology, but operates in observe-and-report mode to avoid unintended changes. A new workflow using AWS Lambda Durable Functions, Amazon EventBridge, and Amazon Bedrock bridges the gap between investigation and remediation. When an incident is detected, the workflow analyzes findings, identifies approved remediation tools, and autonomously runs read-only actions. Mutating changes pause and await human approval before execution. Lambda Durable Functions checkpoint progress during waits without consuming compute resources, resuming precisely where they left off, reducing mean time to resolution and repetitive on-call diagnostic work.
