AWS Embeds Security Tools Into Rival AI Coding Platforms
Amazon Web Services announced at Black Hat USA 2026 that its Continuum platform will integrate directly into Anthropic's Claude Code and OpenAI's Codex, as well as its own Kiro IDE. The move places AWS security tooling at the point of code creation, regardless of which AI model developers use. AWS also expanded its Security Hub Extended marketplace with a 10th category focused on supply chain protection, adding partners Chainguard and Socket. The combined announcements represent AWS's most ambitious push to become the default security control plane for enterprise AI-driven software development.
