AWS Brings Security Scanning Into AI Coding Tools

AWS has partnered with Anthropic and OpenAI to integrate its Continuum security platform directly into Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and AWS's own Kiro coding environment. Developers can trigger security scans without leaving their editor, with findings ranked against the broader customer environment before any action is recommended. Continuum analyzes account configurations, IAM policies, network topology, and internet exposure to prioritize real threats, even building sandbox exploits to confirm vulnerabilities are genuine. The service remains in gated preview, with no firm date given for the Claude Code, Codex, and Kiro integrations beyond coming soon.
