AWS Adds OpenAI Models, Launches Desktop AI Assistant

Amazon Web Services has integrated OpenAI models into its cloud platform via Amazon Bedrock, giving enterprise customers access to frontier AI using existing AWS infrastructure and security controls. The rollout includes OpenAI's coding agent Codex and a new Bedrock Managed Agents feature for building AI workflows without managing backend systems. AWS also unveiled a desktop AI assistant called Quick, which runs continuously in the background to automate tasks by accessing files, emails, and business apps including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, and Salesforce. The moves follow the end of OpenAI's exclusivity deal with Microsoft.
