Automate Amazon Textract Adapter Lifecycle Across Accounts

Amazon Textract adapters can be promoted across AWS accounts and managed at scale using infrastructure templates, Parameter Store, and a pre-classification routing pattern. Three core challenges addressed are adapter promotion, document routing, and production security. By storing adapter IDs in AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store, teams can update production references with zero downtime and no redeployment. The solution uses a multi-stage pipeline covering document ingestion, pre-classification via DetectDocumentText, adapter selection, and extraction via AnalyzeDocument or StartDocumentAnalysis. Security controls include KMS encryption, IAM least-privilege, PrivateLink, and CloudTrail audit logging.
