Atlassian launches protocol for human-AI collaboration

Atlassian announced the Agentic Multiplayer Protocol at Team '26 Europe, designed to let humans and AI agents work side by side within a governed, shared digital workspace. Each agent receives an assigned identity, authority, and scope to prevent unchecked autonomy. New features include Rovo Work, a mode for complex multi-step tasks requiring human review; Loom-based visual prompting so users can show agents what they want on screen; Rovo Code Search to bring source code into the Teamwork Graph; and Data Context integrations with Databricks, Snowflake, and BigQuery.
