Apple AI Now Builds Shortcuts From Plain Text

Apple has revamped its Shortcuts app in iOS 27 with AI-powered workflow creation, allowing users to describe what they want in plain language instead of manually building automations. The feature, powered by Apple Intelligence, handles the technical steps automatically. Apple demonstrated the tool with an example of notifying a partner when leaving work, complete with an ETA via Apple Maps and a message sent through Messages. Users can also refine shortcuts by describing changes after creation. The update rolls out with iOS 27 this fall.
