Anthropic Opens Plugin Directory for Claude Developers

Anthropic is launching a plugin system and submission portal, making it easier for developers to build and distribute third-party extensions for Claude. Plugins can package MCP connectors, Agent Skills, or both, and are submitted through a new directory portal available to paid Claude plan users. Once approved, developers control when their plugin goes live and gain access to usage analytics tracking installs, views, and search performance. The system supports MCP 2.0, including interactive UI and enterprise OAuth features. Existing connectors and skills require no changes.
