Anthropic Nears First Profit, Doubling Revenue

Anthropic has told investors it expects to more than double revenue to $10.9 billion in its second quarter and achieve its first operating profit, according to the Wall Street Journal. The milestone reflects rapid growth fueled by rising demand for its Claude chatbot among professionals. However, profitability may not last the full year due to heavy scheduled compute costs. The news coincides with reports of rival OpenAI preparing for an IPO. Anthropic declined to comment.
