Anthropic Nears $1T Valuation With $65B Round

Anthropic has raised $65 billion in a Series H round at a $965 billion post-money valuation, potentially its last private fundraising before an IPO. The round was co-led by Altimeter Capital, Sequoia Capital, and others, with strategic partners including Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron also participating. The company's run rate revenue crossed $47 billion this month, with a 130% revenue surge expected to deliver its first operating profit. The raise coincides with the release of Claude Opus 4.8 and puts Anthropic ahead of rival OpenAI, which raised $122 billion in March at an $852 billion valuation.
