Anthropic Hires First Chief Global Affairs Officer

Anthropic has appointed Mariano-Florentino (Tino) Cuéllar as its first Chief Global Affairs Officer, where he will lead policy, international engagement, and government relations. Cuéllar previously served as President of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and as a Justice of the California Supreme Court. His background spans Stanford academia, federal advisory boards, and three presidential administrations. Cuéllar, who has taught AI courses for nearly a decade, said democracies must set the terms on which AI advances, calling Anthropic the most consequential place to shape that work right now.
