Anthropic Faces Junk Credit Rating After IPO
Anthropic is expected to receive a high junk credit rating following its IPO, according to the Financial Times. Blackstone, anchor investor in a $63 billion chip financing deal, now forecasts a double B range rating for the AI lab, reversing its earlier prediction of an investment-grade rating before 2027. A junk rating would make borrowing more expensive for Anthropic, which has been on a major spending spree securing large compute deals over the past year. Anthropic filed to go public earlier this week. Both Anthropic and Blackstone declined to comment.
