Anthropic Eyes Record-Breaking IPO Surpassing SpaceX

Anthropic is privately hoping its upcoming IPO will match or surpass SpaceX's record $75 billion public offering, with plans to file by end of August. The company is racing to beat rival OpenAI to market, while OpenAI CEO Sam Altman reportedly considers delaying until 2027 over valuation demands. Despite a net loss of nearly $42 billion in 2025, Anthropic's revenue surged to $11.5 billion in Q2 2026, up from $787 million a year earlier, with an annualized run rate topping $65 billion. The company is working with Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan on the listing.
