Anthropic Eyes Record-Breaking IPO Above $2 Trillion

Anthropic has confidentially filed a draft S-1 with the SEC and could go public as soon as late August, aiming to match or surpass SpaceX's record $86.2 billion IPO. The AI company is working with Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan Chase on the offering, which would need to value Anthropic above $2 trillion to claim the record. Despite a $42 billion net loss in 2025, Anthropic's annualized revenue run rate has surged toward $65 billion, with internal projections targeting $100 to $120 billion by year-end. The company is racing to beat rival OpenAI to market, with prediction markets giving Anthropic roughly 44% odds of claiming the largest IPO title.
