AMD Invests $5 Billion in Anthropic

AMD has announced a commitment to invest up to $5 billion in AI company Anthropic, alongside a partnership to expand its computing infrastructure. The deal was announced Wednesday. Under the agreement, Anthropic will deploy up to 2 gigawatts of AMD's Instinct MI450 AI GPUs through the chipmaker's new Helios rack-scale system.
