Amazon Quick Gets Multi-Gate MCP Authorization Layer

Amazon Quick now supports defense-in-depth authorization for Model Context Protocol tools, adding granular access controls beyond standard SSO token validation. A multi-gate pattern evaluates JWT claims through four sequential checks: MFA verification, geographic restrictions, group-based role mapping, and tool-level permission allowlists. The system uses Microsoft Entra ID as the identity provider and connects through Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway. Organizations in regulated industries can configure which gates to activate based on compliance needs, ensuring authenticated users are also properly authorized at the tool and parameter level, with every data mutation producing an immutable audit record.
