Amazon Quick Apps Now Query Live Governed Datasets

Amazon Quick Apps can now query governed QuickSight datasets in real time, replacing static build-time snapshots. Every time a user opens a published app, it re-runs the underlying SQL live, so numbers reflect current data. Queries execute as the viewing user, meaning existing row-level and column-level security rules apply automatically with no new permission model required. Builders describe the app in plain language and the AI agent selects relevant datasets and writes the SQL. Viewers must be authenticated Quick users and must consent per dataset on first use.
