Amazon Bedrock AgentCore's system prompt optimizer uses an agentic reflector to analyze production traces, identify patterns distinguishing successful runs from failures, and propose targeted configuration changes. The tool avoids context window limitations by giving the reflector filesystem access to traces, letting it use shell tools to inspect, compare, and extract evidence before generating recommendations. Two reflector designs power the system: the Single Agent Reflector, which processes traces in a single pass, and the experimental Sub-Agent Reflector, which deploys a swarm of agents for deeper exploration. All proposed changes pass through platform-level guardrails before promotion, with A/B testing available to validate improvements against live traffic.
