Amazon adds native vector search to DynamoDB
Amazon Web Services has announced general availability of native vector search for DynamoDB, its high-availability NoSQL database. The feature delivers single-digit millisecond latency with 99% recall capability, supporting trillions of vectors without server management. The update enables DynamoDB to power AI applications including retrieval-augmented generation, agentic memory, recommendation engines and anomaly detection. Developers can now consolidate vector search and operational data on one managed serverless platform, eliminating the need to run separate infrastructure for each workload.
