AI Pattern Checks Thousands of Leases for Compliance

A new design pattern called Adjudicated Query lets compliance teams sweep tens of thousands of apartment leases against state landlord-tenant laws using Amazon Q's chat interface. Business users ask natural-language questions, while a deterministic rules engine handles actual pass/fail decisions. The pattern guarantees provable completeness, meaning every lease is accounted for, and full defensibility, meaning each finding is traceable to a specific rule version, clause, and date. The architecture uses AWS Lambda, Amazon Aurora Serverless, API Gateway, and Amazon Cognito. The pattern also applies to sanctions screening, insurance claims, and export control compliance.
