Adobe's Camera App Now Critiques Your Photos With AI
Adobe is expanding its experimental iOS camera app, Project Indigo, with AI-powered features including photo critiques, editing suggestions, and advanced object removal. The app uses LLMs to analyze framing, lighting, colors, and emotional impact, while also offering tips on how to reshoot or improve existing photos using Lightroom controls. Other new features include AI-generated depth of field, style transfer options, and toggle-based object removal for things like people, vehicles, and wires. Powered by Google's Gemini Nano Banana model, these features are currently in testing and available only to select users.
Adobe uses Project Indigo to rebuild Lightroom's moat around serious photographers before Apple and Google commoditize AI editing entirely.
