1Password Keeps Credentials Hidden From Claude AI

1Password has launched 1Password for Claude, a browser integration allowing Anthropic's Claude AI agent to access stored login credentials without the AI model ever seeing them. Credentials are injected directly into target sites through a secure channel, keeping passwords and multifactor codes outside the model's memory and Anthropic's systems. The release also introduces Agentic Mode, which locks the password vault the moment an AI agent takes control of the browser, limiting access to only task-approved credentials. Available now for Mac users across business, family and individual plans, the tool requires both 1Password and Claude desktop apps and extensions.
